Please note: To keep our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, all large events have been canceled for 2020 & 2021.

Get set for the 26th Annual Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The event runs from 10:00am-4:00pm and is free to the public with over 400 classic vehicles of all types on display from Encinal Ave to Buena Vista Ave — roadsters, coupes, hot rods, muscle cars, and antique trucks. Many of them have interesting histories.

New this year is “EV Alley,” a section dedicated to electric vehicles and hosted by Alameda Municipal Power. Here visitors can view dozens of electric vehicles, talk to EV owners, and learn what it’s like driving electric.

Everyone will also get a close-up look at the classics, of course… Ford Model T’s, Chevy Corvettes, Pontiac GTOs, Cadillacs, Shelby’s, and Austin-Healeys, to name a few. Most of the cars on display come from the iconic decades of the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s. There will also be antique roadsters from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s. Bring your camera and don’t be afraid to talk to the owners — they love to talk about their cars. Want to hear the engines roar? Come early to watch the parade of cars arrive for the show between 7:30am and 9:30am.

Plan on spending an eventful afternoon in Alameda’s downtown district… shop at the many boutiques and antique stores, eat at one of the fabulous restaurants, order a refreshing drink at one of the local lounges, and catch a movie at the classic art deco style movie theater. Many of the businesses will even be offering weekend specials during the event.

See what’s new at the 26th Annual Classic Car Show and enjoy all that Downtown Alameda has to offer!
