Hop On Down for a Downtown Easter Egg Hunt

Hunt for the hidden bunny in the windows of downtown businesses…

Kids and their families are invited to take part in a Downtown Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Bring a basket and hunt for colorful paper eggs in the windows and doors of local businesses— that’s your sign a treat is waiting inside.

With more than 30 downtown businesses participating, kids will have an opportunity to gather a basketful of treats.

Adults can join in the hunt too. By visiting 10 or more participating businesses, chaperones can enter for a chance to win prizes from downtown businesses.

Here’s how the Downtown Easter Egg Hunt works…

Start at Phoenix
The event officially starts at Phoenix (2315 Lincoln Ave) where adults can pick up a map of clues to help in the hunt.

No basket? Not a problem… supplies will be available for kids to decorate a goody bag before going out on the hunt.

While at Phoenix, families can gather treats from Common Networks and Farm Fresh To You. Resilience, the Recycling Environmental Superhero, will be making a special appearance too.

Treats & Prizes
Use your map of clues to look for the hidden bunny in the windows and doors of downtown businesses — this is your sign that a sweet treat is waiting inside for the kids.

For a chance to win an assortment of gift cards and other prizes from local businesses, get your map signed by 10 or more businesses. Bring your completed entry form back to Phoenix or leave it with any participating business. Winners will be drawn at 2:30pm — no need to be present.

These businesses have generously donated prizes for the special drawings: Alameda Theatre & Cineplex, Bead Inspirations, Bonne Vie, Books Inc., Bowzer’s Pizza, C’Era Una Volta, Cinema Grill, Crispian Bakery, Lauren’s Closet, OMM Inc., Rise Bodyworks, Second Home, and Tot Tank.

Easter Bunny, Bead Hunt, and Other Activities
A visit with the Easter Bunny will make this hunt even more special. Stop by Daisy’s (1347 Park Street) from 11:00am to 11:30am to meet “Martin the Bunny” and take a photo with the kids. Afterwards, look for Martin the Bunny to be hopping around downtown.

For a fun twist on the Easter Egg Hunt, Bead Inspirations (1544 Park Street) is having a Bead Hunt inside the shop for all ages — find beads that match certain descriptions to receive a gift. Additionally, keep an eye out for a special appearance by Bowzer at Bowzer’s Pizza (1330 Park Street).
