Love Our Island Art Walk: Radical Beauty, Part 8

WHEN: Fri May 10 | 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join Rhythmix Cultural Works for a Pre Spring Festival Celebration with art, dance and music in Downtown Alameda! Come out to Park Street between Buena Vista and Lincoln and rock out to the energetic drumming of Puerto Rican Bomba, the groovy vibes of Brazilian funk and the dynamic rhythms of gypsy flamenco guitar.

The final Love Our Island Art Walk – Radical Beauty, Part 8 will feature installations of goauche paintings from Jessica Eastburn, sculpture from Danielle Guidici Wallis, and amorphous pen and ink drawings by Deborah Sullivan.

Meet up at Rhythmix for an after party from 9-10pm featuring more live music and videos of all previous Love Our Island Art Walk events. The Rhythmix K Gallery will be open from 6-10pm featuring Mother – an exhibit all about mom.

This event is FREE to the public and has been generously supported by the California Arts Council, City of Alameda, Downtown Alameda Business Association, Alameda Sun, and Rhythmix sponsors.
