The silver anniversary of the Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show takes place on Saturday, October 13, 2018. More than 400 classic vehicles will be on display in Alameda’s historic downtown district.
Classic cars of every description will line up along Park Street between Encinal Ave and Buena Vista Ave – antique roadsters, coupes, hot rods, muscle cars, and much more. Most of the cars come from the magical decades of the '50s and the '60s, but there will also be plenty of muscle cars from the '70s and '80s along with classic beauties from the '20s, '30s, and '40s.
The free event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm and is fun for the whole family. Entertainment will be available as DJs spin oldies from the '50s and the '60s.
In addition to the cars and entertainment, many of the businesses in Downtown Alameda will be open. Spectators are encouraged to shop and explore the unique collections of our stores, have fun at the family arcades and entertainment centers, and enjoy the tasty fare of our fabulous restaurants.
The Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show is hosted by the Crankers Car Club. We certainly thank them for their incredible dedication to the show. Without their help, this annual event would never get off the ground. As a reflection of their organizing skills, a national representative of the Mustang Club of America declared Downtown Alameda's Classic Car Show to be “the best that he has ever seen.”

A special thank you to Duane Watson, former owner of The World Famous Lee Auto Supply, for presiding over the Classic Car Show committee for 24 super-charged years and establishing this wonderful tradition on Park Street. We hope our volunteers, sponsors, attendees, and car registrants will all plan on participating in this silver anniversary year in honor of Duane and his many years of service. We wish Duane the very best in his next venture.
