Classic Car Show
The Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show is one of the best car shows
in the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring over 400 classic vehicles on
display in Alameda’s historic downtown district.
Classic Car Owners: Mark your calendar! Our 27th Annual Classic Car Show takes place Saturday, October 10, 2020. Registration for displaying a car at the show opens in June.
The Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020. More than 400 classic vehicles will be on display in Alameda’s historic downtown district. The free event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm and is fun for the whole family.
It's bigger than ever! Classic cars of every description will line up along Park Street between Encinal Ave and Buena Vista Ave. We've expanded the show to include classic vehicles on Alameda Ave, too.
See antique roadsters, coupes, hot rods, muscle cars, and much more. Most of the cars come from the magical decades of the '50s and the '60s, but there will also be plenty of muscle cars from the '70s and '80s along with classic beauties from the '20s, '30s, and '40s. Bring your camera and don't be afraid to talk to the owners -- they love to talk about their cars.
Want to hear the engines roar? Come early to watch the parade of cars arrive between 7:30am and 9:30am.
The Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show will be packed with free family-friendly activities. While strolling through Alameda’s historic downtown district, enjoy a blast from the past as Local DJ’s Peter Fletcher and R. Duffy Collin spin some of the best rock n’ roll classics from two locations and stop at Alameda Bicycle for Island Schwinn’s 10th Annual Classic Bike Show.
Alameda Municipal Power and the Downtown Alameda Business Association are again partnering to dedicate a section of the island’s annual car show to the benefits of owning an electric vehicle (EV). The section of EVs, known as “Electric Alley,” will line part of Central Avenue at Park Street:
- View dozens of EVs on the market today.
- Meet with owners of EVs in Alameda to get the details on driving electric and learn how EV chargers work.
- Get the latest information on financial incentives from AMP other agencies to help lower the cost of owning an EV.
In addition to the cars and entertainment, many of the businesses in Downtown Alameda will be open. Spectators are encouraged to shop and explore the unique collections of our stores, have fun at the family entertainment centers, and enjoy the tasty fare of our fabulous restaurants.
The Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show is hosted by the Crankers Car Club. We certainly thank them for their incredible dedication to the show. Without their help, this annual event would never get off the ground. As a reflection of their organizing skills, a national representative of the Mustang Club of America declared Downtown Alameda's Classic Car Show to be “the best that he has ever seen.”
