Oh, what fun it is in Downtown Alameda this holiday season! Downtown merchants have plenty to offer for a festive holiday shopping experience, from the return of our Winter Market and Hot Cocoa Stroll, to the City's inaugural "12 Days of Alameda" campaign.
Bundle up the kids, buy a warm beverage, and take a stroll downtown to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season:
- WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST invites you to vote on your favorite window display, and 10 lucky voters will receive a $50 gift card.
- WINTER MARKET features 75+ local vendors and festive family fun as we welcome the holiday season.
- HOT COCOA STROLL offers fun for the entire family, with a delectable assortment of sips & nibbles.
- SATURDAY @ THE AVENUE welcomes a vendor market, music, games, and festive fun on Alameda Avenue.
- 12 DAYS OF ALAMEDA highlights Alameda’s vibrant shopping districts, celebrates local entrepreneurs, and offers shoppers a chance to win one of 12 themed prize baskets.

Winter Market
Saturday, December 6, 1-7PM
Celebrate the season with sparkle & fun! We are delighted to announce the return of the Winter Market as we welcome 75+ local vendors, entertainment, festive sips and delicious bites to Downtown. Don't miss the Children's Business Fair on Alameda Avenue! As daytime turns to dusk, the lights begin to twinkle and the Hot Cocoa Stroll will begin. The Hot Cocoa Stroll & Winter Market will pair nicely with the City of Alameda’s Holiday Celebration that evening.
The event will take place on Central Ave (between Park and Oak) and in Parking Lot C.
Hot Cocoa Stroll
Saturday, December 6, 5-7PM
Enjoy the Hot Cocoa Stroll with family and friends in Downtown Alameda. A variety of businesses will offer a warm welcome and a delectable assortment of sips & nibbles, while supplies last. This fun, free, family-friendly tradition is sure to warm your heart!

City of Alameda's 12 Days of Alameda
November 29 - December 10
Support local businesses and win prizes! Running from Small Business Saturday, November 29, through Wednesday, December 10, the "12 Days of Alameda" campaign highlights Alameda’s vibrant shopping districts, celebrates local entrepreneurs, and offers shoppers a chance to win one of 12 themed prize baskets.
Participating businesses span a variety of categories—from wellness and dining to fashion, entertainment, home goods, and more. Each day of the campaign will spotlight a different theme, featuring businesses that match the day’s category. Shoppers will have the opportunity to collect campaign tickets with every purchase (or upon request) and enter those tickets online for a chance to win the daily themed basket.
