FAQs

What do I get with my ticket?
General Tickets include a collectible tasting glass, premium whiskey tastings at more than 10 unique Downtown Alameda businesses, small food bites at each location, and commemorative map. Your ticket also includes a wristband that gets you exclusive pre-stroll and post-stroll specials at select downtown businesses.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Ticket sales are limited. If the event sells out in advance, there will be no tickets available at the door.

Where do I start?
We invite you to begin your visit at any of the downtown businesses providing Pre-Stroll Specials starting at 5:00pm. All ticket holders must check-in at the Eagles Hall (2305 Alameda Ave) between 5:30pm and 7:00pm to receive a wristband, tasting glass, and map. After that, you are welcome to create your own route for visiting the downtown tasting locations.

What if I can’t make it to check-in by 7:00pm?
Check-in closes at 7:00pm SHARP. If you haven’t picked up your pass by then, you will forfeit it. Please plan accordingly.

What's the refund policy?
This is a fundraiser. All sales are final.

Can my friend pick up my pass for me?
No. All passes must be picked up by each participant, individually. You must have a valid, government-issued ID. All participants must be 21 or over.

What are my parking options for the event?
The Civic Center Parking Structure is located at 1416 Oak Street, within easy walking distance of our check-in location. Parking in the garage is free after 5:00pm; street meters are free after 6:00pm.

What are recommended public transportation options?
Ride-share options like taxis, Uber and Lyft are terrific resources. Downtown Alameda is also accessible via AC Transit with frequent connections to Fruitvale BART.

Are there any Designated Driver tickets available?
The Downtown Alameda Business Association encourages everyone to enjoy downtown responsibly. To support this effort we will be selling a limited number of designated driver tickets. You get all the benefits of food and entertainment, just no drinks.

Where can I buy a bottle of my favorite selection from the Whiskey Stroll?
CRAFT Beer & Wine will be open until 9:30pm the night of the stroll for bottle sales. They are conveniently located at 2526 Santa Clara Avenue.

What are the exclusive Stroll Specials?
A number of downtown bars, restaurants, and other businesses will have discounts and specials available exclusively to ticket holders both before and after the event. Plan to come early and/or stay late to take advantage of these offers. Examples of Stroll Specials are posted on our website. The final list will be emailed to ticket purchasers.

How do I receive a Stroll Special?
The final list of Pre-Stroll and Post-Stroll Specials will be emailed to ticket purchasers the week of the event. Show your ticket or wristband to get these exclusive specials. Most Stroll Specials will be available at participating businesses starting at 5:00pm.

What are the bites?
The venues are making arrangements for the bites independently. We don't have a final list but have heard some are planning cheese and crackers, charcuterie platters, and small sweets and pastries. These are just bites, so have a pre-stroll snack or meal at one of the restaurants offering a special!

Are vegetarian or gluten-free bites available?
The venues are making arrangements for the bites independently. We do know that there will be some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.

Can I bring my child in a stroller?
Some of the tasting areas are not large enough for baby strollers. Children and strollers would need to remain on the sidewalk with a chaperone. We suggest leaving the kids with a sitter. For children ages 3 and older, Twirl and other family play centers offers a fun drop-off program.

Are dogs allowed?
Some of the venues do not allow dogs inside their business. It's best not to bring your dog.

Event happens rain or shine! No refunds.
