Businesses May Still Request Face Coverings
With the June 15 reopening, we look forward to continuing to welcome you to the downtown district. And, while mask regulations have been updated, many businesses in Downtown Alameda will be requesting that customers and staff continue to wear a mask while doing business in their shops, offices, and restaurants.
We appreciate your understanding as our businesses slowly and cautiously open their doors with this consideration to their staff and other customers.
In June of 2020, Downtown Alameda began sharing the message, “Open With Care” as a way to let you know that our businesses are safely and carefully opening their doors with the well-being of staff and customers at the forefront. This welcoming message of care and concern has been visible in shop windows and street signage, and will continue to be our refrain as we move forward.
We want to thank you again. Your long-standing commitment and support of our business community is the reason that they are able to move into this new recovery phase and remain Open With Care.
Support local businesses and find out what’s happening in the district!
