Sip and stroll your way through our historic downtown district tasting local beer selections paired with yummy bites at the Downtown Alameda Rock & Roll Beer Stroll. Enjoy an afternoon filled with food, drink, and entertainment while learning about the unique styles of Northern California breweries and local chefs. The debut tour kicks off on Saturday, August 20, 1:00-6:00pm.

The Alameda Strolls are a great way to discover new places and support local businesses. Ticket holders will visit 12+ unique downtown shops and spaces to enjoy premium beer tastings from a fantastic selection of Northern California breweries. And while at each stop, guests will enjoy a savory or sweet bite perfectly paired with each beer. 

Ticket prices include a collectible tasting glass, premium beer tastings at 12+ unique downtown businesses, a delicious bite at each location prepared by a downtown eatery, a commemorative guide, as well as goodies and prizes from downtown businesses.

Have fun doing this season’s family-friendly Spring Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Alameda. Colorful spring decals have been “hidden” throughout the shopping district in a number of window displays. Stroll the downtown sidewalks May 1-15 to find the items needed to create a colorful Spring basket.

Do the scavenger hunt in one day or take your time while visiting the fabulous businesses in Alameda’s downtown shopping district.

Kids can have extra fun doing the scavenger hunt. Get them started by printing this Coloring Page. Each of the items to be found in the windows is pictured on the page.

Join us March 25 – April 3, 2022 for a ten-day event celebrating the culinary delights of our island city. Alameda Restaurant Week is back for a 5th year with dozens of local eateries!  

Explore the diverse variety of restaurants that prepare exceptional ethnic and American fare throughout Alameda, from casual eateries to upscale dining rooms. Visit places you’ve always wanted to try and rediscover old favorites. Whatever you crave, you’ll find it in Alameda.

In celebration of restaurant week, participating restaurants are offering special menus, discounts, and signature fare for dine-in, carryout, or delivery. In addition to indoor dining, many of the local eateries provide comfortable outdoor seating in patios and parklets.

It’s back! Sip and stroll your way through our historic downtown district tasting premium small-batch whiskeys paired with yummy bites at the 4th annual Downtown Alameda Whiskey Stroll. Enjoy an evening filled with food, drink, and entertainment while learning about the unique styles of Northern California distillers and local chefs. The popular event returns on Friday, March 4, 6:00-9:00pm.

The Alameda Strolls are a great way to discover new places and support local businesses. Ticket holders will visit twelve unique downtown shops and spaces to taste small-batch whiskeys from a fantastic selection of Northern California distilleries. And while at each stop, guests will enjoy a savory or sweet bite perfectly paired with each whiskey. 

This year’s Whiskey Stroll features a number of new businesses. First-time distillers include Ammunition Wine + Whiskey, Bardstown Bourbon Company, DuNord Social Spirits, and Young & Yonder Spirits. To keep things interesting, CRAFT Beer & Wine will once again be hosting a “Mystery Pour.” And as a bonus stop, Mommy’s Trading Post is offering samples of ‘Monday’ — a zero alcohol whiskey created for those who like to enjoy a cocktail without the alcohol.

Additionally, new retailer Magpie & Thorn will be host to a local chocolatier who is adding whiskey from the paired distiller to their tasty creations. And amazing street tacos from the newly opened Casa Revolución Taqueria will be served in LF Cochrane and Associates “secret” courtyard.
